Hello everyone!
I'm new to Fantasy Grounds (used Roll20 <year about 2-3 years ago), and newer to DnD, having played ~2 3.5e campaigns, DM'd a 5e campaign, and played ~3 5e campaigns. I know its going to break your heart, but I've never played a character past level 6 myself (my campaign got to lvl 15 before it died due to time constraints). I think its great that there's an integration of learning the software and playing some DnD, and am interested in catching the next match or two (even if only in a spectator capacity). Please let me know where I can check upcoming dates, thanks!
Genius suggestion, I'll check it out!
So, I joined FGC a week ago or so. I have already attended a character creation class for one of the games I am interested in playing. Everyone is so helpful and there are alot of classes available in a variety of time slots. If you want help learning FG, maybe learn a new game system, or just meet some other rpg enthusiasts, come on over! Tell em I sent ya! (and they'll be like, "Who?") :P
Who? ;-)
I'm glad it has been helpful
Would your community be a place for a person who hasn't played a game in 20 years and would like to get back to it? I have no intention of ever being a GM just want to play. I was looking at your site and reading replies it seems to be leaning more for DM's. Also does your group just support D&D or other games as well? I don't have a local group to play with, and don't like leaving my house much anyways, so FG seems the way to go. Also should a person be familiar with the rules or are there ways of learning through play without buying the material if you just want to try it out. (not that i'm looking to be a leach, I'll happily buy them if it something I will use.) Sorry for all the questions, I have a bit of anxiety meeting new people and wanted to know if it would be worth it to muscle through that to achieve what I am looking for. I do use discord and voice so I'm not that anxious, just a little shy at first. I appreciate your time in answering these questions.
