Mongoose Traveller Ruleset

In the interest of possibly stirring up a zombified hornet's nest, are there any players out there looking to see a licensed Mongoose Traveller Ruleset come to light here?

A group I am planning to Run Mongoose Traveller with via Fantasy Grounds II has expressed interest in playing A hard-sf game like Traveller in preference to using Savage Worlds High Space or Science Fiction Companion.

We're mostly using roll20, but we've had great success with a GM from our group running a Cyberpunk themed Savage worlds via Fantasy Grounds II.

Yes, I have and Opening Library, there's nothing. I know it was serious work to get Classic to where it is, but I'm looking to make my own Mongoose ruleset, and get it going, since I'm shelling out for the monthly subscription, with a plan to go ultimate one time sub later this summer.

I know Marc is very on top of infringement and that's not my ultimate goal. But if a team could be formed to do this, and have it Mongoose approved, hey, right on, I'll join that team, and leave roll20 forever.

Failing that, I'm looking at Savage Worlds / High Space (as it arrives) or Sci fi companion to do my latest SFRPG campaign.

But I'm a Traveller superfan, so I'd like to make that happen, if the gate can thus be opened.

There is a Mongoose Traveller OGL SRD so it should be possible to make a library.

Smiteworks have an agreement in place to create a commercial Mongoose Traveller ruleset, see the list here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...ll=1#post80392 It needs someone to pick up the work that been started...

New ruleset is in BETA. You can get the pdf on DTRPG. The plan is for the whole line of premier source books to be released in a 6 month time frame starting in March culminating in a starter set Kickstarter in August.
Hopefully Smiteworks' agreement includes the new edition currently in development.
