Works fine for me. Are you sure you have the LOOT template defined and the inventory has items to drop? I tested by putting a dire wolf in CT and map - then added 1 day of rations item into its inventory - then set its wounds in CT to max which killed it - the bag dropped - it contained 1 day of rations. As long as your map parcel options are correct, some template for your NPC exists, and it has anything to drop - then it should work. Default being "[MP] LOOT" with empty default parameters I recommend for loot bags. Not going to cover all the rules for those - but appears to work fine.
Deleted and reinstalled a bunch of files and now it's working, so seems like it was something weird going on with my setup, but yeah my bad!
V1.67 - Update - New option "Add NPC Random Treasure to inventory based on [MP] tables" defaulted to off. Will add default treasure to NPCs (not if polymorphism, a type or effect Object, or has inventory already) when placed in CT find table (case insensitive) named "[MP] <NPC name>" or "[MP] <NPC type>" or choose tables based on CR value where [ <NPC type>] is also optional to append to the relevant table: "[MP] CR:00-04[ <NPC type>]"; "[MP] CR:05-10[ <NPC type>]"; "[MP] CR:11-16[ <NPC type>]"; "[MP] CR:17+[ <NPC type>]". Don't plan on much support - it respects the table data expected (and I mean tables are picky of syntax) or fails to do anything. As usual this was for me and mine. The forum thread has an example mod file with tables I use (beast and undead ones are blank so that those types of NPC will never drop random treasure in inventory based on CR tables - always checks name then type then CR type then CR tables in that order).
Honestly, did this because I was annoyed at populating a campaign with my encounters backed up from combat groups. Just wanted something simply so I don't have to put out loot unless I really want to. No I'm not going to explain it more - Yes I might make a quick video - No you don't get more explanation than this. Well you get this example .mod file with the tables I'll be using in my game - references DMG 5E stuff. Don't like my tables? Go make your own.
