Fantasy Grounds Classic Connections Explained

I want to add that the ip4 gateway address in there is a different one than in ipconfig /all:

These are not Fantasy Grounds ports.

See post #1 for details of the FG port used - only TCP port 1802.

Created inbound rule port 1802 with TCP on Windows Defender Firewall

Additional Info: Don't know if this helps, but my Fantasy Grounds connection test was successful. I was also able to connect a second session from the same laptop via localhost, but I would expect that to be the case.

hey dAMNED, thank you for the response. I sent the entire log to tech support and the issue was resolved. But as a correction it turns out i was gifted FG Unity and thats why players who have classic cannot join me. There was some confusion as to what versions we had. I have both FG Unity and FG Classic and each has a different version number. Ever since using FG Unity have had no issues with purchases, just completed buying the entire essential collections direct from FG instead of STEAM.

The only issue with people trying to connect to me, they cannot, even when they try 192.168.1.4 GM: Shez Game: Dungeon of the Mad Mage

I beelive its because they are using Classic which will not function with Unity.

What information is needed to resolve players not able to connect to my game? I get a successful green when I run the test. My players have tried to connect while on my network and off my network.
Windows security always FG, port forward to 1802, network on private, wireless connection.
192.168.0.1
Let me know what info is needed and I’ll get that. Thank you.

Thank you, good to know you could connect. I have the firewall off on the Mac but am not able to connect. I turned it on and allowed FG, but still no connection. I have the cross platform box checked. Is there a FAQ page for players trying to connect? Or where in the system settings I need to look to turn something on or off?
