Linking to pregenerated character entries is not supported at this time. Setting up pregens in the campaign requires additional steps to create unique PC entry information; whereas that information is not available yet when in pregen record form. To be honest, this is the first time anyone has ever asked about it.
Your workaround seems like the best option.

Thanks for confirming, I've replaced the bad links with direction on how to import the pregen characters instead. What confused me during testing was that it almost works - pregen character record popped up and looked almost complete.Quote:

Issue: Error on loading many modules (log attached).

• Load Shackleton Expanse Players Guide module
• Ruleset: STA (Post 2E update.)
Extensions Loaded: None
Modules Loaded: Core Rulebook (1E), Any one of the modules listed above.
Issue: No Ship Talents are displaying as available in loaded modules. When “Type” is set to blank (as opposed to "Ship") Character Talents are displayed instead.
Steps to Reproduce:
• Load a module (tested with Core Rulebook (1E))
• Open the Ship Talents list
Ruleset: STA (Post 2E update.)
Extensions Loaded: None
Modules Loaded: Core Rulebook (1E)
Pushed a hotfix to address the version issue.

No change to the Ship Talents and Missing Notes issues reported above.
Pushed another hotfix for the version code. As for the ship talents, they should be in the talents as they have been merged with this update. They just contain the type ship which can be filtered in the master index.
