I would love some advice on the audio part, because though I am using voicemeeter banana, and have the A&B cables software with it, I can get SUPER close to what I want, but people in the channel also hear themselves a couple seconds after they speak, and I'm struggling to find where I can fix that. For those who are interested, and for which this would be helpful, there are a few important things he solved for me.
First - You will want (until it gets fixed) an older version of syrinscape. I'm now using the one from 2016 and it works flawlessly with FG. Use this if you are dealing with sounds work from syrinscape, but none of the hooks work.
Now, as to the setup...
I'm using steam chat. I'm not trying to stream my games visually, but I want my audio heard for the players in my chat channel. The rest of my DnD group is connecting with Demo versions of FG, as I use an ultimate license.
So I have my steam chat set up like this:

I should also point out, as this is critical, I am using open mic. Not push to talk.
This is good for using a single account on either this or discord in order to funnel your sound and your own talking into the channel through. If you want to avoid having sounds messed up because you want to use push-to-talk, then you will want to follow Rob's video on youtube about getting two setup. It didn't work for me, though, and I didn't fight it much.
Next, in the mixer I have this:

This finally got rid of echos people would hear when talking into the channel. And based on my conversation with G, there is at least one other way I could have done this (that perhaps would have made more sense), but he made the way I had my steam chat setup actually work. So this might not be the best way, but it is the way that works with the way I have my audio setup in steam.
