I am having issues with Custom weapons not being recognized by the extension help?
Ignore this post i got messed up by a leading space in the name.
Greetings,
Just tried this out in my last session and love how it works. It's a big help for a lot of situations, less stuff for players to remember so combat goes faster.
That said, I did encounter two problems:
1) We have a tendency to add things like (bonus) after a feat name to show that it was obtained via a bonus ability or something of that nature. This makes it so that this extension doesn't detect a feat like Point-Blank Shot or Precise Shot. It would be helpful if is looked for them as FEAT* or *FEAT* to find matches for slightly modified feat names. I'll have to record info on notes and refer back and forth when questions come up without this little change.
2) This one's likely going to be a bit harder...FGVTT supports elevation on tokens. I have a PC that can fly and we were in a battle with a couple of bats that could also fly. They were flying around the place, as expected. There were two problems found with this:
2a) The range calculation was not accounting for elevation differences. Target is 30' away and 20' up, but PBS was still triggered.
2b) Elevation was not considered for the Firing into Melee. Enemy is adjacent but 20' above another character. This triggered the Firing into Melee penalties.
I expect this would also trigger flanking bonuses, but did not test this... and think this one will be even harder to account for.
Beyond these two issues, everything went well and all of us were impressed with how well this figured out the situations and help streamline combat. Thanks for the sharing the effort.

And found one more in this weeks game. If you have multiple creatures targeted when you click the attack, it will give you multiple copies of PBS. I haven't verified, but I expect the effects will stack.

Hey hey,
Would it be possible to make an option that gives you just the bottom toggle bars and none of the auto shootinto melee and feats stuff?
Mostly cause at my tables we don't use the shoot into melee and a few other things and having to manually adjust everytime isn't fun but having the toggle buttons for touch, flank, crit, and half being right there is great.
Sorry if this is a bother.

Edit: With things more settled since the last major patch, I did more testing with this. Looks like rng30 isn't being applied to attackers and PBS isn't being applied even with rng30 applied.
With the latest patch, FGU: v5.1.10 (2026-06-16)
I am now seeing this error when shooting a bow in PBS range:
[6/16/2026 1:30:04 PM] [ERROR] Handler error: [string "..ModifierCalculation:..n_attack_custom.lua"]:218: attempt to call field 'hasEffectCondition' (a nil value)
I did remove quite a few retired and currently non functional extensions but this extension was not listed as being related to those. Any ideas?
This extension will need to be updated to cater for the recently updated core effects functionality.
P.S. I've removed the duplicate House of Healing post as the issue is specific to this extension, please only create one post for an issue - the place to discuss issues with extensions is in the tread relevant to that extension, in this case this thread.
Ok, Thanks for the response.
The original author is gone; but I've managed to push up a patched up version for now. I do not use this extension; so there are no plans to enhance beyond what is already there.
