Pathfinder One-Shot #3: Head Shot the Rot SAT October 30th @ 5.30 PM UTC
Pathfinder One-Shot #3: Head Shot the Rot SAT October 30th @ 5.30 PM UTC
If there is overwhelming interest for SUN October 31st around 1.30 PM UTC instead [note that your timezone may change that day] please let me know.
This game will be run on the OPO Discord!
Please schedule around 3-4 hours for the game (a bit more if there are several new players) [definitely shorter than Dinner at Lionlodge].
PFS2 credit:
"Players who play through Head-Shot the Rot, as well as GMs who run the adventure, can apply the adventure’s Chronicle Sheet to any of their Pathfinder Society Organized Play characters. Players and GMs must decide which character to apply credit to when they receive the Chronicle Sheet. The Chronicle Sheet gives 4 Experience Point(s), 4 Reputation with one faction, and 10 Treasure Bundles appropriate to a character of their level. It also grants 8 days of Downtime. This adventure is not repeatable, therefore an individual can earn a Chronicle Sheet for the adventure once as player and once as GM."
The one-shot is run during the double AcP weekend.
We will use Fantasy Grounds Unity. I have an Ultimate license for both so players only need a free demo version.
About the one-shot:
Taking a much-needed relaxing break in between escapades, four gun-toting adventurers post up in a dingy bar in one of Alkenstar's entertainment districts. Right across the street at a theater, people flood inside to catch the premiere of a highly-advertised play, but what comes out of the theater is far more dangerous. As people scatter to safety in the dusty streets, its up to the group of gunslingers in the bar to set things right.
This short Pathfinder 2nd edition adventure written by Michael Sayre is intended to be completed in a single session and includes four 3rd-level pregenerated gunslinger characters, who make use of the exciting new equpment and rules found in Pathfinder Guns & Gears, whose backstories and motivations tie closely to one another. This adventure can be easily incorporated into various virtual tabletops, run off of digital devices, or printed out and played at a table.

Pathfinder One-Shot #4: Mark of the Mantis SUN March 20th @ 5.30 PM UTC
Level 6 pregens.
Please schedule around 5 hours for the game.
We will use Fantasy Grounds Unity.
Signups will be on warhorn.
About the scenario:
The Red Mantis assassins are one of the most feared organizations on all of Golarion, for their reach is far and their methods effective. When several of Absalom’s councilors from the Petals District turn up dead, all evidence points to Red Mantis responsibility. However, the truth is that the sole surviving council, a secretive servant of the evil deity Norgorber, is responsible and now stands to be elected without opposition. The murderer masquerading as a Red Mantis assassin is one thing, but since the kills were so inexpertly done, the Red Mantis cannot allow the noble to live. Assigning several agents to the mission, the Red Mantis intend to infiltrate the noble’s manor and execute her for her slight against their order. With three Red Mantis assassins and one bitter mercenary on the job, the noble must die before the stroke of midnight.
This short Pathfinder (second edition) adventure written by John Compton is intended to be completed in a single session and includes four 6th-level pregenerated characters. Three of the characters have strong ties to the Red Mantis assassins and use rules options presented in Pathfinder Lost Omens: World Guide, while the fourth is a mercenary fighter out for revenge. This adventure can easily be incorporated into various virtual tabletops, run off of digital devices, or printed out and played at a table.
Players who play through Mark of the Mantis, as well as GMs who run the adventure, can apply the adventure’s Chronicle Sheet to any of their Pathfinder Society Organized Play characters.
"Note that all four of the pregenerated characters are evil, which comes with important considerations.
No Betrayal: The characters are on the same side. While the dwarf Kangir and the Red Mantis assassins might not fully trust each other, for this adventure, they’re united in eliminating Doatara.
Safety Tools: Evil PCs often do evil things, and it’s important to consider your and your players’ comfort level performing in-game crimes. Before playing, chat with your players about what to expect, where their boundaries are, and whether to include safety tools like those described on page 485 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. This adventure features violence against combatants, and the PCs might decide to endanger noncombatants, interrogate captives, destroy property, and terrorize onlookers. But Achaekek doesn’t encourage wanton sadism, and neither does this adventure."

Repeatable 3-6 scenario.
Please schedule around 4 hours for the game.

About the scenario:
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3-6.
Heed the call for heroes!
After assisting the people of Port Valen and protecting the town from rampaging trolls, the Society earned the approval of the settlement's leaders to establish a new Pathfinder lodge in the former feasting hall of the legendary warrior Sveinn Blood-Eagle. After enduring several months of dangerous ocean voyages to supply the new lodge and assist the town, venture-captains Bjersig Torrsen and Calisro Bennary requested permission for the Society to connect their new lodge in Port Valen to the Maze of the Open Road. By using the mystical extraplanar hedge maze, the venture-captains hope to strengthen the Society's presence in Arcadia. Rather than establish such a connection on their own, the venture-captains consulted Port Valen's leaders to determine the most responsible means of opening the portal. Their careful research brought them to a fey guardian in the Forest of Trials. The guardian readily agreed to the Society's proposal, on one condition. To keep the portal opened, the Society must regularly send heroes to perform heroic deeds in and around the Forest of Trials!
In this repeatable scenario, the PCs visit Port Valen and perform a series of deeds to earn the approval of the forest guardian. The scenario includes variable elements to ensure continued enjoyment for those who wish to play or run the adventure multiple times.

Talks have been going well, but the arrival of Boiltongue’s children in the city has thrown everything into chaos! Gorm senses that the negotiations are about to collapse, and sends for a team of Pathfinders to help keep an eye on Boiltongue’s children while he wraps up talks with King Estrid. About the scenario:
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters.
A skull with glowing eyes was among the many objects which recently turned up in the Pathfinder Society's vaults, and none of the other objects are quite so talkative as this one! In fact, the skull isn't an object at all, but a person. The Society isn't sure who, or what, they are, and the skull seems to have lost their memories. Nonetheless, the skulls requests—no, insists—that the Society return them to their former glory at once!
Grand Archivist Zarta Dralneen has determined that the skull is from Quantium, the magic-filled capital of Nex. She dispatches a group of Pathfinders to conduct a simple research mission and guide the skull around the city, hoping to jar the skull's memories and learn the truth.

PFS2 Intro: Year of Shattered Sanctuaries THU January 12th 6.30 PM UTC
PFS2 Intro: Year of Shattered Sanctuaries THU January 12th 6.30 PM UTC
Tier 1-4.
Please schedule around 4 hours for the game.
About the scenario:
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters.
A recently inducted Pathfinder field agent makes a startling discovery as pleas for assistance flock to the Society’s Grand Lodge from across the Inner Sea. A group of Pathfinders come to assist in parsing the ongoing damage to the Society when a staunch ally requests their assistance. Stepping into a problem close to home, the agents quickly uncover a larger plot set to tear the Society apart and that it’s up to them to raise the alarm!
Intro: Year of Shattered Sanctuaries is the introduction to the ongoing story of the Year of Shattered Sanctuaries. It is also the first scenario in a four-part arc detailing the events taking place in and around the Society's headquarters at the Grand Lodge in Absalom, the City of Lost Omens. Other arcs explore other locations across the Inner Sea. While the arcs can be played in any order, it is recommended that players experience the scenarios within each individual arc in order, and this scenario is a natural starting point for the Year 3 metaplot as a whole.

About the scenario:
Venture-Captain Bjersig Torrsen has set out the call for a group of Pathfinders to compete in a race known as the Balgirdtrek. Taking place in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, this race is an annual event that includes participants from both the Varki and Ulfen people of the region. Bjersig hopes that by having the PCs participate, they might not only bolster the Society's reputation in the Saga Lands, but also document this exciting event. Although the Society has the organizers' official permission, some of the Ulfen competitors in particular see the Pathfinders' participation as an intrusion on their time-honored pastime. The true challenge of this race is not monsters or villains, but the harsh nature of the grueling marathon itself.

However, the academy’s benefactor, J Dacilane, has recently heard rumors from his students of seven strange phenomena manifesting on campus. Despite his doubts that these are simply the imaginings of students raised on Pathfinder tales, J has called in a favor with the Pathfinder Society to investigate—both to put his students’ minds at ease and for the good learning opportunity a Society report about the school would provide. But are there more to these urban legends than meets the eye?

Please schedule around 4 hours for the game.
About the scenario:
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 3rd- through 6th-level characters.

PF2 Adventure: March of the Dead (from Book of the Dead, 3rd level) 1/3 SAT March 4th 6.30 PM UTC
Centuries ago, the massive Shining Crusade destroyed the Whispering Tyrant Tar-Baphon, an incredibly powerful lich. Knowing he might someday return, the Whispering Tyrant’s foes sealed his remains away under his old tower, Gallowspire, and formed the nation of Lastwall to guard his crumbling edifice for centuries… until three years ago, when the Tyrant was reborn. In a matter of weeks, the furious lich laid waste to Lastwall. The lost nation, now known as the Gravelands, is a haunted and desolate place overrun with undead while the Tyrant’s cult, the Whispering Way, operates freely. Not far outside the Gravelands, the tiny village of Fiorna’s Faith has recently fallen, another victim of this ancient conflict.
Three sessions in total, the other two sessions are tentively scheduled at the same time on the 11th and 18th. Note that your timezone may change during the second and third session. Not PFS2 but you can get PFS2 credit.
Some quick notes on characters: While this is a PFS2 sanctioned adventure (meaning you'll get PFS2 credit, see below), it is run in adventure mode. This means you do not need to play with your PFS2 character. In fact characters do not need to be PFS2 legal, though let me know if you want to pick very unusual character options. There are no specific pregens for this adventure, though PFS2 pregens may be available, depending on the level. Please note that the session time depend on everyone having their character ready at game time).
Characters:
The PCs should be 3rd level at the
start of this adventure, and the text
assumes they know each other (or at
least come to know one another by
the time they reach the town). The
PCs should know Agrit (Councilmember in
the town of Trunau in Belkzen before the
start of the adventure, to explain why
she would turn to them with such a
dangerous quest.
There may be undead.
