Odd problem

I know there is a lot of connection based issues that have been addressed here.. and quick search came up with nothing like this.

On Friday night, a friend connected to me with no problem. I used a local cable company's internet service.

I moved on Saturday. And now he cannot connect. I have a satellite connection due to my location. Four others in the US are still able to connect to me... just not him (he is in the US too, btw).

He continues to get the following message: "check the address and try again"

Any ideas?

Is he trying to connect through a direct IP address or with the connection alias system?

Have him try with your direct IP address.
Also have him try to run a tracert to you.

he tried both. We tried using Hamachi and it works so far. Just odd. Only thing we can think of is that it's an issue between the ISPs.

What did the trace rout reveal?
Any hop that has * * * instead of times is most likely a fire wall.
