Posted in the Market Square in Winterhaven, a tattered parchment reads:

Wanted: The Head of Gharash Vren

The nefarious criminal has escaped
from captivity and was last seen
fleeing north from Fallcrest into the
Winterbole Forest.

Reward offered

The parchment is signed by the Lord Warden of Fallcrest.

Players
Respectful
Mature
Dependable
Roleplay encouraged
Act according to a character concept rather than an optimized build

No power gamers, slayers, or rules lawyers please!
This is primarily a story-driven game. Combat encounters are considered fun tools for advancing the plot. I do not pretend to be a rules master. I am open to corrections or discussion regarding rules calls; however, players must ultimately be willing to defer to the DM as referee, even in the case of a negative result. Problem players will be asked to forfeit their seat if necessary.

I reserve the right to negate a published rule if I feel that it is being used in an exploitative manner.

DM background
I started playing D&D in the early 80's with the Moldvay Basic Set and AD&D 1st edition. I dutifully colored my dice with a white crayon. I drifted away from D&D by the late 80's, returning intermittently for 3.5 edition. More recently, I have been running a weekly game of 4th edition D&D using Fantasy Grounds with a nice core of reliable players.

Hello!! I just happen to be looking for a 4th edition game. This would be my first time playing in 4th, but I've played just about everything else.

Players new to 4th edition or Fantasy Grounds are welcome. We are a friendly group that plays for fun. A Player's Handbook and a compatible play style are the only requirements.

Send me a PM if interested.
