I just did a test install with FG2 and Parallels 4 - it works great!

I'm getting white dice in mine... is there some setting that you used to display the dice correctly?

I've got it working with VMWare Fusion 2.0.2/XP Pro SP3. The dice rolling's a little jagged but I suspect that's due to running it on a small MacBook without a full 3D graphics card. :)

Any updates on this? I've been thinking of upgrading to Parallels 4 instead of doing bootcamp. Are white dice still an issue?

I'll do some testing as I own Parallel's 4 and a new 15" MacBook Pro. I'm running it fine via BC, but when I test it in P4 and maybe VirtualBox I'll let you guys know my conclusion.

Alright, tested Parallels 4 on my 15" MBP (using the BC partition as my VM), you have 100% control over die color. So appearantly the white die issue is resolved.

AND... I have no slow die rolls either, it's running native speed for all you who need/want to know.

That's odd, I'm not sure why but I'm using a 15" MBP as well (the original 2006 one) and using a BC partition for my Parallels 4... and I'm getting the white dice. When I try changing dice color nothing seems to happen. Any clue what the difference could be?

I am sure the video card hardware and software is different. I'm not sure how you upgrade the card driver on a Mac (I have a Mac as my main computer but use a PC for FG2 and other stuff).

I'm just using Parallels straight up. No BC partition. Could be wherein lies the problem, conflicting drivers or something similar.

Has anyone been able to host a game using FG2 on Parallels?

I can't seem to get it to work. I've opened up the port on my firewall and set-up forwarding on my router but it doesn't seem to get to the vm.

Next step is to talk to parallels support but I want to check here first.

Fixed my own problem.. set the connection type to bridged ethernet and set port forwarding to the VM.. duh.
