Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to FG, and I was wondering if anyone knows a feasible way for a DM to do a Fog of War type effect... I searched the forums for "fog" and came up with zero results. :(

Thanks a ton!

In FG it is called "masking" or the mask. To find it, start FG and open a map. Then right click on the map -> layers -> enable mask. The map should turn tan and you should notice an "eye" attached to the cursor to tell you you are in mask mode. The GM's view is simi tranparent, the players can't see through the mask. To reveal areas just rubberband select them. If you make a mistake before you quit dragging press escape to clear the rubberband.

You can only put a mask on images. If you use the drawing tool to draw on a grid, they assume you only draw what they see.

Edit: Here's a link: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/userguide/gmimages.xcp

Look at masking images and revealing masked areas images.
