Ruleset won't load on Lite version FG

Hey guys,

My group and I are trying to load a ruleset, 4E_JPG, and can't create characters. We keep getting the same error;

"Could Not Load Ruleset Root File Base XML."

Did we do something wrong? Do we have to connect to our DM first?

Help!

Yes, the 4E_JPG ruleset, and most custom rulesets does not support local characters. You must connect to a host running a full version.

Most rulesets are packaged in such a way that they require you to connect to the GM to create the characters; 4E_JPG is one of them.

The short answer is you need to connect to you DM to make characters. The longer answer is that if the ruleset was built in a different way you could build local characters, but no ruleset right now other than the default d20 ruleset is built that way. That *is* likely to change in the future but that won't help you now.
