SWSE ruleset starships?

hey guys just wondering if its possible to use starships with the swse v1.4 ruleset? Im wondering if i should make starships characters and just play with the normal hcaracter sheets so values fit for using starships, or if hopefully there is a better way of doing it?

Are ppl still using the 1.4swse ruleset or is there a better one around?

Nothing better is out that I have seen. I am looking at adding another tab to the charactersheet for starships but havent got to it yet. Also I am waiting to hear back from the ruleset creator as well.
