Elf

The Ivory Box campaign is looking for 2 consistent players to start at 3rd level. The Campaign is on hold until we have 4 core players. We are using D&D 3.5 edition.

The setting is Cauldron in the World of Greyhawk; the campaign itself involves the events of the Shackled City Adventure Path and the adventures of a Chartered Adventuring Company.

The campaign has a lot of roleplaying, intrigue, the occasional mystery and of course combat. Game times are 2 PM GMT Sundays (9 AM US eastern standard time).

Request further details in thread.

What time to you play till on Sundays? What classes are you in need of? What are the class/level/alignment restrictions?

We play til 10 AM Pacific time. The following classes are allowed.
Barbarian - per Player's Handbook
Bard - per Player's Handbook
Cleric - per Player's Handbook
Druid - per Player's Handbook
Favored Soul - per Complete Divine or Miniatures Handbook
Fighter - per Player's Handbook
Healer - per Miniatures Handbook
Hexblade - per Complete Warrior
Marshal - per Miniatures Handbook
Monk - per Player's Handbook
Paladin - per Player's Handbook
Ranger - per Player's Handbook
Rogue - per Player's Handbook
Scout - per Complete Adventurer
Sorcerer - per Player's Handbook
Soulknife - per Expanded Psionics Handbook
Spellthief - per Complete Adventurer
Spirit Shaman - per Complete Divine
Swashbuckler - per Complete Warrior
Warmage - per Complete Arcane or Miniatures Handbook
Wizard - per Player's Handbook

Level 3 is the starting level
Alignment restrictions none, although there are paladins in the adventuring company; so evil alignments will not last long. The ability to work together as a group is important in my campaign; it is gritty and there have been character deaths.

What classes are currently covered?

Answering as one of the players... In the primary party we have a wizard (transmuter specialist) and a Paladin of St. Cuthbert. One new player is in the process of creating a monk. And Elf is right - teamwork is critical for death awaits us with big nasty, pointy teeth... arrrrgh.

I'd be interested in joining in as a Rogue, although depends on the schedule. I'm free past 5pm Monday-Friday at (GMT -5)

I could tag along, although I'm not very familiar with the Greyhawk setting (I can look into it though). I'd probably play a fighter since someone apparently picked monk already ;_;

Also, a question: What are the restrictions regarding feats from supplemental books such as Complete Warrior?

Enough questions have been asked that I will post the character creation rules here. If you have further questions ask in thread.

Abilities
32 Point buy from DMG (Here's an online calculator: Point Buy Calculator (https://home.san.rr.com/thegraggs/dnd/Misc/pbcalc.htm) )

Allowable Races
Standard races from the Player's Handbook
Svirfneblin (deep gnomes) as in Monster Manual page 132 (note that the Level adjustment is +3; see Starting Level)
Flumph per Dungeon #118 page 30 as modified by me (note that Level adjust ment is +2; See Starting Level)

Starting Level
Due to the nature of my campaign the concept of Effective Character Level (ECL) is important to understand. Starting level always means the ECL of the character. ECL is also used for experience calculations. For most races ECL and class levels are equal. However races that have a level adjustment subtract that value from the allowed starting level below. If the value is negative the player either has to use another race or allow me to tinker with the racial abilities to bring the ECL into line with the allowed starting level.

New characters or replacement characters start at the greater of: 2 levels below average primary character levels (4.6 currently) or 1 level below average secondary character levels (2.5 currently); with a minimum of level 1. New characters start at level 3

Secondary characters are allowed and start 1 level below average secondary character levels, minimum of 1.

A primary character is defined as the highest level character of the player's characters.

Must I send you a character sheet prior to game or can I make it directly into FG2? What's the news on the game?

Elf

We are playing a pickup while we wait for 2 consistent players. You can join the pick up. We currently have 2 interested players, one has played in the first pickup session and another is likely to join this Sunday. The link below is the forum for the regular campaign and has the pickup details as well.

https://www.readybb.com/gamerscodicil/

Character sheet can be done if you are using Moon_Wizard's 3.5 ruleset; otherwise you create in session. Alternatively you can send it to me along with your desired login name (not necessarily the same as character name) and I will pre enter it.

Hey Elf, good to see you're still around. Is this the same game started for Ghostorb or are you running it over again? If you haven't played in one of Elf's games, he does an excellent job!

Hi Hrathor!

Yes it is indeed the one that has evolved from Ghostorb. It is currently on hold as we have not had a stable core for many months. The Grunts now have their own base and recently cleared out a goblin lair.
