View Full Version : Slowing down

I'm finding that FG is taking longer and longer to load, as I add more into the module. The database is only about 800k, but I have a lot of tokens and a lot of images, I guess.

I plan to pare everything down shortly, but does anyone have any other ideas?

I've been noticing the same thing. Don't have a solution though.

I definitely think the focus of the next upgrade\version should be making life easier for DMs. Would help the growth of the program a lot.

Module... or campaign?

If you have a lot of tokens - it dramatically increases the load time of FG, and this seems to be (as near as I can tell), the only real thing that has a noticeable effect on load time.

Module size doesn't seem to be much of an issue, as many of the modules I use are quite large (some as big as 5MB). Try taking all the tokens out, and keeping only those you need for the adventure in the box...I found that helps a lot :)

Personally I put my tokens in modules, that way I can choose wether or not I want and need them as we play.

And with using Tailz tokens, this is almost a must since each token has some 10-17 variations.

Ok, many thanks - it does seem to have worsened significantly since I added lots of new (and brilliant) tokens, so this must be the focus, I suspect.
