Instant Dungeons - 1-Click Dungeons with Advanced Features

Instant Dungeons is a system-agnostic extension for Fantasy Grounds that adds a random dungeon generator directly to the Images window.

LINK TO THE EXTENSION IN FORGE: HERE (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/3434/view).

Generated dungeons come ready to use with LoS occluders and interactive doors, including relevant information for lockpicking, traps, and dungeon interaction.

At the moment, Instant Dungeons includes three dungeon types:

Simple Dungeon
Cave
Maze

Each dungeon type also includes additional options for:

Random events
Encounters
Treasure
Traps

Planned for Future Releases

Future updates are planned to include:

A system that allows GMs to add their own random events and combat encounters
More visual themes
Theme-based events

Disclaimer

Although the generated dungeons can be used with any ruleset, the current trap and lockpicking features are based on 5E rules.

I believe these features can be easily adapted to other systems, but in future releases I plan to add customization options so GMs can adjust these aspects to better fit their preferred ruleset.

Please feel free to leave your suggestions, feedback, and any bugs you find in this thread!

Version 1.1

New Themes: Crosshatch, Blueprint, Blueprint Inverted, and SciFi.
You can now create your own themes by placing assets in a folder named ID_[theme title] and naming the assets properly. Use the new built-in custom themes helper for more details.
You can now customize wall and floor colors using hexadecimal codes in dungeons with solid colors.
You can now customize events, treasures, traps, and encounters by editing the existing items or adding new ones.
UI polish.

Nicely done :) This looks pretty cool. I know some of our solo fans are going to love this!

Very nice.

Feature Request: Color controls to set basic room color to gray or something not white, or else a color picker for arbitrary colors. Similar for the background color and widgets/lines. I hate bright white maps.

For the color controls adding a steel finish look will make this adapt to sci fi settings easily.

Hello,
Do you have any plans to let the GM add their own assets for the dungeon, cave, etc?

Madman..

Yes, I’m polishing up the final details for 1.1, which will include some new features like new themes, custom events/encounters/treasure, color selection for solid-color dungeons, and the ability to use your own assets.

Wow, this is a really amazing start! You mentioned traps and lockpicking DC's are based on 5E but what about encounters and treasure? Is this also based on 5E? If so, where are you pulling your content from? SRD or paid manuals and is it 5E 2014 or 5.5E 2024? Will you be including a feature that allows for multi-level dungeons of increasing difficulties?

Very well integrated for the Traveller ruleset.

For any ruleset but making this work from 5e to Traveller makes this hugely successful.
The encounters, etc with generic descriptions works well and the ability to customize lists, etc. makes this even more of an amazing offering.

Thank you!
