When will we see remastered adventure paths?

Not all adventure paths have been remastered. We're working on a couple. Do you have any specific ones in mind?

Hi Trenloe,

My current group is about six months from finishing Abomination Vaults and I am looking ahead. Of the two high-level adventure paths, Stolen Fate looks to be the one my party would most enjoy.

Thanks.

Stolen Fates hasn't been remastered by Paizo yet. But you can still play the legacy AP using remastered rules - FG does a lot of the underlying rules conversions. Things like spell and other legacy data records won't be converted to their remastered equivalent but are still playable using the remastered rules. For example, I'm running a Kingmaker campaign written for PF2 legacy, with the remastered rules.

And if you really want, you could go through the various encounters and parcels, and check to see whether there are any creatures, spells or items that have meaningfully changed or been superseded during the remaster and thus present you with an interesting choice as to whether to replace them. From briefly skimming the PDFs, there really won't be that many such creatures since a lot of them looked specific to the AP. With spells, most of the changes would be renaming.

For a concrete example of what I mean, I'm running the Abomination Vaults with remastered rules. That adventure features a level largely controlled by ghouls, and ghouls have actually changed mechanically, with the disease Ghoul Fever changing to the curse Forbidden Cravings. Likewise, that AP features barbazu, which have been supplanted by mechanically dissimilar vordines in the remaster. These are cases where out-and-out replacing in the encounters would be something to consider.

The PDF of Stolen Fates is not out in remaster, but there is this https://store.paizo.com/pathfinder-adventure-path-stolen-fate-foundry-vtt-complete-bundle?searchid=627455&search_query=stolen+fate.

We provide official Fantasy Grounds conversions of official Paizo products.

As Paizo haven't officially done a remaster version of that AP then that is either a community conversion or it hasn't actually been converted - it's in the "remaster" section, but there's no mention of remaster in the description at all, so it may not have had a community conversion.

As previously mentioned, you can run legacy content in a remastered campaign - Paizo specifically designed PF2 remaster that way. FG makes some changes on the fly (e.g. removing the school from spells), but as @Nyarly Dude mentioned above, if you want to run a pure remaster campaign, you may need to swap some things out. Personally, I don't go to that length - I run legacy content with the remaster rules with only minor changes, and it works fine (as Paizo intended).
