In test channel if you use this effect:

LIGHT: 15/15/ darkness

It makes light instead of darkness.

Also can't get pulse, flicker, etc to work either.

Thanks for the report. SilentRuin mentioned to me as well. It's on my short list to get resolved, just ironing out some extension stuff I'm in the middle of.
