View Full Version : No Stat Blocks for Summoning Spells in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything

Had a Warlock join my party and we realized while looking at Summon Aberration that the "Aberration Spirit" stat block for the aberration summoned is missing. Checked the other Summon spells from Tasha's and they're missing their spirit stat blocks as well. If they were supposed to be attached as images, the images are showing up blank on my end.

I checked Summon Draconic Spirit from Fizban's Treasury of Dragons and it has a Stat Block for a Draconic Spirit Template which isn't searchable in the NPCs section. Is there a way to create a similar template manually?

UPDATE: I found the Draconic Spirit template. I didn't have the Fizban's module open, just the Player's one.

UPDATE #2: I realized that the Tasha's base module wasn't open. I didn't realize it the whole time. I got confused since it wasn't linked in the spell descriptions. You can close out this post. I am so sorry for all the confusion.

The Aberrant spirit (and all the other templates) are in the DMs guide under NPCs. Are you not seeing them there? There's also links to them in the spell (again only in the DM version, since players can't interact with NPCs normally). See the 'other' tab for each summoned creature to see what you need to do as DM in order to have the summons work properly.

I do have one more quick question: How do you get the blank stat block screen to create a new NPC to pop up when clicked like with the Draconic Spirit Template link from Summon Draconic Spirit?

I’m not sure what you mean. You can’t create a new NPC from a blank stat block. Can you walk me through what it is you are wanting to do?
