One of our players dropped unexpectedly and we are looking for one, maybe two players to fill the gap. Pairs are welcome. We lost our dedicated healer.
What the Campaign Is
Our dark fantasy blends sword & sorcery with horror so we will focus on corruption and the supernatural. Expect dark themes, consequences for your actions and creepy atmospheres. We are adventuring in the tidally locked world of Skothar. Enter the frozen, blighted realm of Kótos, that of which is ringed by endless storms. A vast pale moon looms dangerously close overhead, and of recent, cursed blood has started to fall from the sky as red rain & crimson snow!
f you have played Curse of Strahd, that is the closest comparison. A dark oppressive setting with one singular darklord looming over everything, a dark realm that feels like it is working against you, and consequences. The party has not come face to face with their version of Strahd yet. That is about to change!
This is a hero's journey but expect horror elements throughout. Moral choices rarely have a right answer, most quests have multiple outcomes, and the world remembers what your characters did. It started fairly guided and opened into a sandbox after the first few levels. Not everything scales to the party. Some places will get you killed. This is expected to be a long term campaign. If you are looking for something short or are not sure about your availability, this probably is not the right table.
Lots of roleplay, travel/exploration, investigation/clue solving. I love tactical combat but it does not happen every session and the current group is not particularly bloodthirsty. Talking through situations is usually possible and sometimes encouraged.
The current party is a Automaton Wizard, a Human Guardian, a Half-Elf Magus, and an Elf Rogue, with no healer or dedicated support. That is the gap we are tryna fill here, sorta.
Backstories are woven directly into what is happening in the campaign. Characters are expected to have fears, flaws, and regrets. Evil characters may be considered if they fit the tone and are genuinely willing to face consequences for it.
New players will start at level 5 + we use Free Archetype.
Fantasy Grounds Unity is our virtual tabletop. It is free for players, you do not need to purchase a license. We use Discord for voice. The group is U.S. based and plays Monday evenings in PST, roughly three hours per session, weekly. Players range from early 20s to late 30s and the group is def LGBTQ+ friendly. PF2e experience is required. You do not need to be an expert but you should know how the system works a bit!
This campaign has real horror elements and is consequence heavy. It does not do gratuitous or edgy content for shock value, but it does not pull punches either. You are also joining something mid run. There is existing lore, existing relationships between characters plus an established tone. That can be chill, it can also be frustrating if you need to have been there from session one to feel connected. Think about which one you are before reaching out.
