Is there a command in FGU to turn a roll into damage? EG: I pick up a d6, drop it on a token, and it does just "damage" that is untyped?

No there isn't. If you dropped the d6 so the result showed up in the chat window you could drag and drop the value in the chat window to the Wnds on the combat tracker and it would add to the wounds on both NPCs and PCs (assuming most D&Dish rulesets - you didn't say what ruleset).

As Griogre says, any roll result can be dropped on a field in the combat tracker. if dropped on wounds then it will be damage.

Depending on the ruleset, there may be other ways, such as with a hotbar macro. But almost all rulesets should have the ability to make an untyped damage roll on the actions tab of the character sheet.
