Details of the Scenario:
Your character was born and raised in Durnwiche is a remote coastal town, cut off from the outside world for more than a century. Its origins are shrouded in mystery. Some claim its people descend from the passengers and crew of the Three of Hearts, a shipwrecked vessel said to have carried a noble family and their retainers fleeing a violent uprising of serfs. Others whisper that the ship was a pirate craft, and the townsfolk are heirs to pirates and their captives. Still others believe it was a smuggling ship, spiriting away desperate souls from a distant land in search of a better life.

Today, Durnwiche thrives as a tightly knit collective. Every individual contributes to the survival of the whole. At fifteen years of age, each townsfolk is assigned a duty: fishing, farming, tending livestock, weaving hemp. That role becomes their way of sustaining the community. Duties can be exchanged to prevent monotony or to let talents shine, but the expectation remains: everyone does their fair share. There is no currency, no wealth, no poverty. Equality is the cornerstone; if all contribute, all prosper. The island itself is small, and resources are scarce. Chickens, pigs, sheep and goats are carefully bred to maintain their numbers. A handful of fruit trees dot the landscape, while two modest fields yield wheat, corn and seasonal vegetables. Hemp is cultivated for cloth, oil, and seeds, while fish and shellfish form the backbone of the diet. The sea is both lifeline and larder. Metal is rare; weapons and armor are virtually nonexistent though the elders have revealed a cache of equipment to be used in times of need.

You and your compatriots are the only citizens of Durnwiche who have demonstrated any kind of interest or ability in the magical or martial arts. You have spent hours in the library beneath the temple of Gozreh reading about fantastical beasts, and the heroes who felled them. Recently, the town has been attacked by both the living and the dead. The first threats in decades. The town elders equipped you to fight off this menace, but the elders believe that this is the beginning of an old prophecy stating that heroes will rise from humble beginnings destined to wear the great elemental armors to combat a great evil.

The Group and Expectations:
We are an established group of people and gamers. Each current member has played together for several years and some of us several decades. Reliable equipment and attendance is a must. We recognize that real life may interfere with gaming, but commitment is key.

The group gets along very well, is easy going but serious minded when it comes to this game. We are looking for like-minded people. The current party characters are not min/maxed but you must want to build characters who are competent combatants and able to contribute to overall party success. Mindset is more important than experience. We are both happy to teach and willing to learn. The game is very important to us, and it needs to be important to you. This is not a just show up and roll dice campaign. You must invest in the world and your character.

PCs are currently level 4. The party consists of a Fighter, Sorcerer, Animist, Guardian, and Rogue. Character build rules are standard with no free archetypes. Uncommon or rare options must be GM approved with that decision based on character concept. Source materials are core rules and Lost Omen books with remastered versions replacing legacy whenever possible.
