Sticky Request.

Hi,

Just a thought, is there any possibility of a new Sticky?

Not sure what to call it but it would be an advice/showcase for Creature, NPC and Item builds. I'm getting the hang of the coding for PF2E but still run into problems now and again.

So let's say I was making, I dunno, a ring of Flame.

I could post and say "I'm making a ring of flame and this is what I've got so far, I just can't get the persistence right." Then peeps could join in and say, "what I would do is this..." or "You've missed the pipe symbol", whatever.

I know I could post this in the general forum but stuff like this tends to get lost in general 'stuff'.

It could also act as a repository for completed items that peeps could either use in their campaigns or could adapt for their own use. So in my example if I wanted to make a ring of Flame but there was say, a wand of Flame I could lift the coding straight into my ring of Flame, adjust the numbers accordingly and task completed.

Same would apply for creatures and NPCs.

Although we do have the effects Wiki there are very few 'how to do this' examples so I really think this would be useful.

Could also duplicate on 5E, DnD2E etc.

Any thoughts?

It's a good idea but may end up with having a lot of "noise". If a single sticky thread is used for discussions about how to build anything it will quickly become very cumbersome and won't be a great tool for people to reference. Best to post specific threads, named appropriately, to allow people to search for information.

We are looking into doing some more "how to" articles, which will hopefully help with some aspects of what you're looking for.
