Hello,

I just want to say to the SmiteWorks Team and everyone that contributes to their success, thank you all for the amazing work you do.

Summary: Items are not labeled as not carried when selecting the not carried button on the main item that is the location of everything when creating subcategories within the inventory sheet.

Ruleset(s): D&D 5E

Extensions/Themes: None

Modules Loaded: None

Operating System / Language Setting: Windows 11 / English

Steps to Reproduce:
- Create campaign
- Import Durin Stonefist Character
- Select Inventory and add two new items labeled as Inside and Outside and change their location to the backpack
- Change the items you would like to have in your backpack to the locations of either inside or outside
- ONLY change the Backpack from Carried to Not Carried
- Inside and Outside change from Carried to Not Carried but the items stored under them are still being Carried

I have attached my Logs and two pictures for your reference.

Best Regards,

Karnvao

I have a feeling it might be the same name repeated or such. The inside and outside are just labels? Try with making each location a container or item, see if that changes anything add a weight of 1 to each container to also check the weight carried features too.

The inside and outside are just labels for organization within the backpack. I attempted another scenario with the following steps with Durin Stonefist's inventory (Imported from the Tutorial):

- Changed the location of the Mess Kit to Pouch
- Changed the location of the Pouch to Backpack (Empty)
- Changed the Backpack (Empty) to Not Carried

The result is still that the Pouch becomes Not Carried while the Mess Kit remains Carried. The weight is accurately reporting what is being carried and not carried.

I noticed that locations can be easily organized on the wiki:

Is this how the system was designed and do I need to manually change each item to Not Carried that was missed?

Yea, this has never been a functionality. Though items are indented like you show, selecting a parent has never changed the carry status of a child. Would be nice if it did, it should be added to the Feature Request list here: Fantasy Grounds - Feature Requests (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featurerequests/featurerequests.php)
I'd vote on it!

edit: not sure about weight behavior. Haven't looked at that

Note, once it gets approved, you will need to update the link. See how it has [Pending] in the url? We can't see it while it's pending :)
