This is not a bug per se...
When I duplicate a record a message pops up in the middle of my screen and apparently on my players screens. This would be ok assuming I actually want my players to see what I just duplicated, which I don't. The reason for this is if you need to duplicate something so you can edit it, like an Item, the players will be informed that you duplicated the bauble and no they know what it is.
Is there a way to prevent this particular kind of message?

I'm not seeing this in a 5E campaign. (See images; Player under/above GM screen when duplicating item)
Can you provide the exact steps you are using to see this issue? Preferably in a new campaign; so we can match exactly and get to the bottom of it.

It shows in Traveller (tested because I know Stargrove works on that also).
Make a copy of a Location (drag out and back in), it shows the Toast notification that a copy was made (also when deleting the copy). 66798

Had a moment and confirmed this happens in 2e as well.

I'm still not seeing the issue; just tried in D&D 2E and Traveller 2E. I also reviewed the code; and the event that triggers the screen FX does not seems to send any messages to remote clients.
Are you running any extensions?

Sorry, this was in a Traveller 2e campaign I am running and believe it was related to duplicating Item records..
Unfortunately, in a vanilla Traveller campaign with no extensions loaded I am not able to reproduce it. I also tried reproducing it in my main campaign with a player connected and have not been able to. I will update this thread with more information if I see it next time my group and I get together.
Thank you for checking.

Hmmm, I will check which extensions that I am running in both the 2e and the Traveller rulesets
