FG License: I have ultimate so you don't need to pay for anything
Start Date/Time: March 23rd, 6 PM US Central
Timezone: Central USA - Outside USA players welcome.
System: Dungeon Crawl Classics. If you've never played before, no worries.
Need: 4-5 players
Description: The legendary classic module, Caverns of Thracia is the focus of this campaign. Factions fight amongst themselves in the ruins of an ancient Greek inspired city. The PCs through clever play can either take advantage of that or go in swinging.
Campaign will begin with the adventure Sailors on the Starless Sea and open the characters to an archipelago to explore and adventure as they please in. Will the party sail straight to Thracia or perhaps investigate rumors that the demonic Hound of Hirot has risen again in the east first?
About Dungeon Crawl Classics : DCC is inspired by pulp fantasy of the past and the mechanics reflect that. Magic is rare, powerful, and dangerous to the caster. Warriors can mechanically spartan kick baddies into volcanoes (mighty deeds mechanic).
Death is a common part of the game at lower levels, though characters become considerably more beefy at mid levels. Look forward to playing with you! If you're interested please reply to this post below and I'll send you a DM.
Personal DM / Judge Style:
1. Dice fall where they may.
2. I roll reaction rolls, not all monsters, baddies, or dungeon denizens will instantly attack you. There is plenty of opportunity to RP.
3. Morale is rolled when appropriate. I do not ascribe to the "Goblins are cowardly creatures... who fight to the DEATH" style that seems to be in most games now.
4. I play it pretty straight. Joke characters and whatnot aren't something I want to do. The system itself will create plenty of funny scenarios on it's own.
