Ok, so I haven't touched FGU in a little over a year. Im having issues with not being able to access, or even see the modules, and other assets in the app. I open modules, and I access the folder, but nothing shows. When I open the folder using the file explorer on windows, I can see all my stuff. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advanced for any help.
This is what im seeing.

Your windows explorer window on the left has the filter set for xml files. FG modules, though they contain xml, are actually .mod files so you have them filtered out.

Anyway, you don't access your modules there. Access them within FG from the Modules link on the right. Images, tokens etc are accessed from the Assets icon also on the right.

You should not be seeing any of the modules in your modules folder that is in your screenshot; so presumably you got those from a source other than the store. Any legally obtained modules are in your vault folder. As LE says you access modules from inside of FGVTT.

The window on the left is a SAVE FILE window, it's not used to open files but to SAVE a file somewhere. You've also set it to save files as XML files (see dropdown at the bottom) so that window will only show you XML files in the folder to avoid saving another file with the same name, which would overwrite it.

My friend gave me a flash drive with all his stuff. He just told me to drag and drop the files into the folder. I do try to access the data via the app, but I guess I'm not looking in the right folder? The dropdown menu only displays XML, no other option. I know I sound dumb, but I haven't touched this stuff in forever. thanksfor the help though.

You do realize that your friend gave you a bunch of illegal module files, right?

There are two problems:
1- you're not trying to "access the data via the app", you're saving an xml file through the app. That's what that window does
2- your friend gave you pirated content

So before you do anything else, if I were you I would go here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?55797-Videos-on-how-to-use-Fantasy-Grounds-VTT and familiarise myself with how Fantasy Grounds work, because you clearly forgot more than you think

Got a hold of him and he confirmed that. But yeah I'll be going through all those tutorials. Thanks a ton.
