Is there a way to create additional stat creation options in the character wizard?

The current wizard offers point buy, standard array and rolling (4d6, drop one) for stats. Is there a way to add other options? Or a mod to do so? I know we can just change values after creation in the character window, but I was hoping for a more elegant solution. My regular group is looking at possibly using other dice configurations for stat rolls or even a modified array to change things up. Thought it was worth asking.

You can always just drag whatever roll value you want in the rolling screen, and use a different rolling mechanism.

Any changes beyond the standard book options directly in the character wizard would require an extension to add the option, and handle the differences.
