Has anyone tried running troops in FGU?
Obviously they are weird and wrong for normal combat, but before I start trying to grind out my own system - is there one I have missed in the Forge? Is it in Battlecry?
Any tips generally from the inventive hive mind?
(Basic issue - 4xLarge tokens sharing hit points, often effects etc. My starting position is to create 4 separate entities on the same initiative and just adjust their hit points as required manually. Which actually sounds pretty easy, so I'm not sure why I'm complaining...)

EDIT: I seem incapable of spelling "Troops", I just get overexcited when I know there is a double letter coming up...

I don't unusually bother with initiative and hit points for the other tokens. I'll just have "dummy" tokens to represent the troop's position and then make sure my players know which one is the "real" token for targeting purposes.

this is the best tip for combat mechanics.

additionally, a troop is an amorphous mass, not a single "creature", per se, represented by a fixed sized token.

instead of doing this, create the number of segments as medium "creatures" using dummy tokens.

this would allow 1) flexibility per troop movement (https://2e.aonprd.com/Traits.aspx?ID=849&Redirected=1) rules, and 2) reduction in troop size as it takes damage, removing appropriate number of dummy tokens.

hit point reduction (and other effects mechanics) would be tracked from the main "real" troop token (also designated as a medium "creature") on the combat tracker.

let us know how this set up works for you. have fun!
