Arcane Lore

As the title states, I am a new Keeper of Arcane Lore (ran about 6 games) and recently bought the MoN module for Fantasy Grounds. This might be the wrong forum to post this, if so, direct me where to go and I'll post it there. Tried the CoC section but was unable to post under "Old" threads.

That being said, I am excited to learn Fantasy Grounds and figure out how to run this thing remotely in the name of getting together more often. I have the HPLS physical prop set and the 3D prop set by Type 40. I am also playing through ChatGPT as a solo player just to experience the campaign myself and have a better perspective as a player. I use Google Notebook to reference the game quite often, it rules as a way to find things quickly with a citation so I know it isn't hallucinating. I have a purchased a truck load of official content, but without AI to help me as a GM to improvise, correct rules mistakes or to find information quickly, I likely wouldn't be playing. So please don't dump on me for that. Seriously, without AI, I wouldn't have spent around 1000$ in the last 13 months on the game bc I'd be incapable of running it for my group. I am very excited to be here and to keep discovering the Lore around Lovecraftian monsters and fantastical magic. Any tips on using Fantasy Grounds is greatly appreciated. Sending lots of handshakes and hugs, cheers!

Thanks for sharing your experience. MoN was definitely a classic; my player group decided to sacrifice themselves with explosives to end the threat.

Welcome to the forum! Masks of Nyarlathotep is by far the best campaign we’ve had the chance to play, and we’ve played a lot of different RPGs since around 1980. I use AI myself to add visuals to my campaigns, so I see no problem with it. If your players are interested in the lore surrounding the Mythos books they’ll find during the campaign, you should check out the MoN Companion, a must-have in my opinion. I’d be happy to share images and other materials if you contact me directly.
