D&D Barovia's Curse Land (Curse of Stradh)
Your group decided to take a rest in the woods. The moonlight barely enters the place where you're sleeping and the only thing you can hear is the fire sputters as a low mist gathers around the edges of your camp, then one by one you can listen to all your party screaming. A creeping fog took you, frozen hands embrace you to the darkness...
The sun never came, but a friendly torch did. When you opened your eyes and saw your party you realized that you are not in home anymore, you are in a curse land.
Game: Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e (2024)
Schedule: Tuesdays Weekly 6.00pm EST
Platforms: Discord Voice chat and Fantasy Grounds VTT
Experience: Any! I don't have problems to teach the game or have a pause to do some explanation!
Playstyle: A lot of focus on Roleplaying, describing scenes and room to improvisation from players side! I like combat lite and keep my players in neutral/chaotic good position. Always expecting some creative stuff happen, I tend to be the "You can certainly try" DM. All the maps are usually made by me, love to draw the important NPCs and always expect your backstory to be included in the whole plot. At the end of the day, we play to have a good time and that's what I want for u!

About Character Creation
So, I recommend my players to have a session 0, but if it's not the case here are some important points for your travel into Barovia.
Start at level 1! so you are adventures who really struggle to get coin, have that in mind. Maybe a wizard who just drop the academy or a rogue running away from a thief's guild.
D&D 2024 Rules are on, Unearthed Arcanas too! and we can talk about any subclass you want from 2014, don't trouble with that really.
For your backstory I recommend anything you want, at the end, you will be capture into Barovia so your past is open to you! Maybe you already live in this lands so you know the vampire and more stuff or maybe you're a monster hunter, just send me a message and we can talk about every option!

Finally, hi! I'm Facundo, 21 years old DM who really loves the game and loves Fantasy Grounds! I started my journey with TTRPGs a long time ago with Anima Beyond Fantasy, now, I'm looking to have a lot of players around the world to fall into this unique stories.
Since I was a kid I read Stephen King and Lovecraft so be ready to any eldritch horror stuff! I love films like Evil Dead 2, Evil Dead (2013), The Lord of the Rings and Nosferatu from Eggers, so I tend to be prepared for narration, describing scenes and timing the whole game.

Why pay to play D&D?
For me it's the perfect way to pay for the new books and adventures, I usually like to try every map creator, every online tool subscription so for a student that's really expensive. I try my best to give an unique experience to all players.
As a videogame and tabletop developer it's a way to get experience and have it in form of startplaying reviews.
You can still quit the adventure anytime you feel that is not worth the payment!
