View Full Version : Chat /id command no longer seems to be working

After the 5.1.0 update, the /id command in chat no longer seems to be working. Previously, using it would cause chats from the GM to be prefaced by the NPCs name; the alternative IDs entered using that command do show up on the left dropdown box, but now the chat just says "GM" regardless. Using the "Speak As" button from an NPC sheet still works.
This is in a D&D 5e campaign (I tested both 2024 and Legacy), no extensions installed.
I don't typically create NPCs for every personality that a party will interact with, so I make extensive use of the /id command.

Thanks for reporting. Will take a look, and see if I can get that going again.

I can reproduce this. The /gmid command isn't working either.

It's the issue with using /gmid to change the GM label that's causing the behavior I've been experiencing. I reset /gmid and chat is behaving correctly now.

YEAH!
So, what about chat history. Why does up-arrow only show /commands anymore.

Probably due to the way that the changes to support speech bubbles are implemented. Will have to investigate; but if what I think it is, I may need to wait a bit to tackle.
