I was hoping to try out new patches, but the updater is stalled at Getting Products.

More than likely, since that is the first call to our servers; you have some security software blocking the updater application from accessing the Internet.
If you are running Windows, check your Windows Defender rules. You can always delete any inbound/outbound rules for Fantasy Grounds or FGUpdater; and then launch FG to let it prompt you again.

It wasn't that, but it was definitely something on my end.
I had to clear settings and relaunch, and that seems to have cleared things.
I think I accidentally launched an extra instance at one point last night, at an awkward time.
Sorry for the false alarm.

No worries; thanks for the resolution.

My updater isn't hanging -- but it's not changing to 5.1.0 but I have actually updated four times today (most recent was 5 mins ago)... FGU itself is 5.1.0 but the updater still shows 5.0.0 -- is the updater supposed to reflect the same versioning as the FG app?

No, they use different versioning; though we try to synchronize on big version changes.

I have some player in windows and other on Mac with the same issue, stuck on getting products. One of them reinstalled and did not fix it.

If the updater is hanging on the Getting Products step; then that usually indicates that something on their computer is blocking the FG updater application from accessing the Internet to get the files.
They will need to look at the Windows Defender (or whatever is equivalent for Mac) to make sure that the FGUpdaterEngine application is allowed to access the Internet.
Also, they should make sure that www.fantasygrounds.com is not being blocked by their Internet provider.

I mean, mine was having the same problem, I had to try a number of times, clicking "cancel" and coming back to the launcher, and I use Linux, 3 operational system with the same problem. I dont know if it can be a regional issue( we all live in brazil ), we have different ISPs, its just weird. I can say for certain my machine was not blocking the updater.

I'm not sure what to add at this point.
I haven't heard of anyone else having trouble updating in general or within our team (which is spread across US).
There are other Brazilian users as well, and hadn't heard anything from them either.
However, if the very first external HTTPS call for Getting Products is blocked, that usually indicates something is blocking Internet calls either from the application (or to our site in general).
