View Full Version : FG v 5.1.0 crash and more

Hi,
i just updated to 5.1 and I have following issues:
- FG freeze after a few minutes and almost made my computer crash (I'm up to date on my PC, drivers and OS)

66295

Active Fx layer (especially if there is a mask) is the point. It takes more and more memory until it crashes. Even if you hide the FX layer it doesn't free the used memory.

- the new pins are cool but too small on large maps. Maybe if adding an option to change the size..

Thanks for reporting; Carl is actively looking at this.

For the map pins; what is the resolution of the map, and the grid size you have defined for the map within FG?

Thanks,

8000+ x 5000+ is the size of the map; grid is 84.9x84.9

Hi,
Another problem.
Not so long ago, I had the same size of pins what ever the scale or zoom was on my image (pict 1).
Now all my pins are so small that I thought that they disappeared (pict 2 & 3).
In fact, I had to zoom in a lot to find them again.
How could I fix this (with the new or old pins)?

What's the grid size on your image in FG; and what's the image resolution?

I'll have to check with Carl to see why the pins might be smaller than expected after he tracks down a couple high priority issues from this release.

I had the answer: it is related to the grid size.

Please run a new Check for Updates; and let us know if you are still having issues with any maps.

If so, please provide a zipped up copy of your campaign folder, since the issue we found was related to the actual image data.

Just pushed another hot fix that addresses an issue specifically with FX layers that could cause a memory leak.
Can you run a new Check for Updates; and let us know if you are still having issues?

With my homebrew campaign module and campaign folder, after update, I still get an immediate crash after loading in. I've reinstalled graphics drivers, and have loaded other campaigns with it crashing.

@Seleh,

Best to keep in the original thread that you started, since I believe this is a different issue.
