I do not understand how the extensions work. I found some free ones at the fantasygrounds store and they are now in my inventory. I then check for updates on the FG launcher, launch and check modules but do not see them. See screenshots66257662586625966260

Extensions are loaded prior to starting your campaign. They show in a list on the dashboard.

You can see the dashboard in the image in that link. The extensions are in the bottom right frame.

Hello!

In order to load most extensions, you must select them from the Campaign Selection Window. 66263 Once you have them selected there, they will load into the campaign you have selected. You must repeat this for every campaign you create. Note: Be sure to read the specific instructions for each extension you use as there may be directions specific to that extension. I use a pretty fair amount of extensions in my 5E game and many have options that can be selected within the options. 66264

As you seem like a new user, let me recommend these videos. You will find all kinds of useful information here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?75515-New-Video-Series-Unity-Basics

Note, just because you found an extension for free doesn't mean you should load /use it. Make sure it does what you want. Extensions can cause conflicts, problems and data corruption (rarely). My advice is to use them because you want or need the functionality they add, not because you can.
