Day of week and time: Thursday at CET 19:30-22:30.
Planned Duration & Frequency: Once per week.
Term: Hopefully long term.
Text or Voice: Voice.
Voice software used: Discord.
Will this be recorded and/or live streamed? No
Roleplay & Combat mix: I think the mix will probably be about RP 70/Combat 30.
Language: English.
Number of Players in game & needed: Two players, looking for two more.
Character starting level & equipment: Beginning level.
Character restrictions: Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Half-Elf, Halfling, Half-Ord and Human.
The first "real" session is scheduled for 2026-01-22 (if we have enough players).
The game setting is the world of Greyhawk. The game will be set in the northern part of Greyhawk. The characters have agreed to journey to the northern frontier of Perrenland, to settle the land. They have been promised a 10 year tax exemption if they manage to settle a farm and many acers of land. There is a keep in the area that will be the intial base. This campaign is about colonization, base building, wilderness adventures, exploration and survival. Civilization is far away.
As a GM I prefer a sand-box style of game, where the players have the freedom to let the characters do what they want. It’s up to the players (and the player characters) to make sure they stay on track and work towards their goals.
I've been playing RPG's since the early eighties, mostly Runequest, Harnmaster and Call of Cthulhu. My games tend to be RP heavy and relatively light on combat.
I'm going to run with the latest version of Basic Roleplaying (from 2023), with a slew of extra rules for magic.
I find rules-lawyers annoying, so I rather not have any such in the group. Also, while bigotry, racism and such might exist in the game world I don't think it has a place at the "table". I expect players to behave with respect towards each other.
