What if a dedicated world builder (D&D 2014 5E) created a homebrew world that would prefer *coughs* PCs to Role Play their PC background stories, traits, etc, (with voices being a given bonus to the PC from the DM for immersion if applied)

PCs would be traveling to a recently discovered new land (just over a year+). They would be departing from another region that would be developed/created partially by the PCs background stories and where they lived, trained (villages, towns, cities, etc). The PCs would create the cities/towns and stories in the region from their background stories.

Through the game, it would be possible for your PC to purchase residential structures and other establishments of their own pending they have acquired the means to do so.

For starters, after arriving in the new world, they will have an option at many basic and complicated tasks that would have it's just rewards/downfalls according to the risk. PCs will create the overall world stories from their actions and outcomes. There would be an overall story outline with goals. Looking for PCs to reach out to the DM to discuss/brainstorm ideas about their PCs goals and long-term plans.

It would be a LONG running campaign (2 to 3 years) that would start at level 1 and go to maybe 13+/-.

I played my first D&D game in 82' and been through all versions of WOTC money making schemes. I have DM'd many games over the years and I just want to play with some serious D&D role players that love rich PC immersion. My many visual props during game will add flavor and content. I want players who will RP their characters to their liking and bring it to the table every week. I will provide a rich, deep story outline for 3 hours of game time every week so we cannot deal with the real world during that time ;-)

Say 65% RP / 35% Combat (PC Death is always a possibility depending on the current situation and PCs decisions)

So again, just asking for a friend to see if any interest before he goes down a long winding lonesome road....

Sounds fun, I am not good with voices but would give it a go. I played my first D&D game in 83. I am really wanting to find a good long term D&D game.

What day/days, times, start date are you thinking?
