Hello everyone!

Quick heads up that we're rolling out a couple of updates to the online reader over the next several days that should be a welcome sight - a way to view NPC stat blocks that are linked in reference manuals inside the Fantasy Grounds application as sidebars in the reader.

This was a priority based on how several reference manuals are constructed for books like the 2014 legacy Monster Manual, where the flavor text was present, but the stat block was linked elsewhere (meaning the reader version of the book read as incomplete). For the 2014 MM, you can now see all the links inside the reader in the new sidebar like so:

65987

We've also got support in places for the Encounter blocks from reference manuals that list NPCs (and show the numbers of each, the CR and XP for the encounter, etc.). You can see this for now in the new free Eberron adventure Fated Flight of the Recluse:

65988

We only have the NPC and Encounter link sidebars working for those couple of books at the moment, but in the next few days, you'll see the update pushed for all of the D&D 5e books, with the hope that we'll get the full library of fifth edition content out there before we hit our holiday break.

When we return in 2026, we'll move to our other most popular games to get the same NPC / Encounter support in place where it is applicable.

Thanks and happy holidays!

I'm just wondering at what point I should say something if I own content that's not converted for the online reader? For instance, I have a module (Chariot of the Gods) for the Alien RPG that shows in the online reader, but none of the core rules for the Alien RPG are showing.

We have a bit over half our catalog currently available in the beta (so a couple thousand titles). The included titles are based primarily on how the Fantasy Grounds modules are constructed - those that are split into multiple (like the ALIEN core rules) take a bit of extra effort and will appear later in the beta.

That process will slow down as we hit the holidays, but will pick up plenty of steam in the new year.
