Hello all,

I have been looking at some videos on how to create random tables myself, and they all seem to rely on the VTT interface and adding in every entry manually. Thats not really feasable for what I have in mind as I have a lot of random tables, several with 100 entries, for solo TTRPG purposes. Is there a way to import a text into FGU to use it as a random table I can roll on? I haven't found anything but maybe my google fu is just weak.

The built-in table importer works quite well for this. It's an icon at the bottom of the Tables library. I believe there may also be an extension or two on the Forge that adds some additional import capability.
I will often use Notepad++ for some cleanup before the import if the pdf table has multi-lined entries.

Yea, there is a somewhat new (1 year?) built in table importer.
- click the Blue button on the Tables list (bottom right corner) It allows you to do both simple and delimited text cut and paste. It works well

There is also an extension in the Forge, if I remember correctly it's something like MK Table Importer

I've used both, and they both have pro's and con's. But I don't remember details. Something like one of them delimits on commas, which means if you are trying to pull in a table with numbers like "1,000" it imports into two columns.

Thank you both! Found it and a Video for it too now that I know what to look for. Should be easy enough. Cheers.
