Hey,
So we're noticing that sometimes, joker's aren't announced in chat, and bennies are not awarded.
However even when bennies are not awarded, the joker (+2 dmg) bonus is still applied.
I am suspecting that there might be a bug in wherever the joker's color (black, red) is determined, and when it fails to announce, it is because it's not picking up a suit.
The reason I'm saying that is that I tested with a character that has the Quick edge, and when the card get's redrawn into a Joker, it becomes f.ex. a joker of spades, instead of a black joker.
A few notes:
- I do not know if this actually a bug, since I do not know SWADE well enough.
- If it is not a bug, consider this a feature request for joker with only bonus dmg. to be announced as well as the benny announcement.
- We're playing (and I tested in) Pathfinder for Savage Worlds, but I believe SWPF ruleset is mostly a data/flavor overlay on the SWADE ruleset?
- Though these images mostly display missing benny awards, of all the rounds I ran through to get the proper screenshots, I'd guess about half was correct (which I think lend credence to it being a suit thing)
1. Correct Joker

2. No benny joker.
Here you see the player has gotten a joker, and dmg bonus is applied, but no benny has been awarded.

3. Double jokers.
Here both the player and the NPC's get a joker, but only the GM get's awarded a benny.
I don't know if that is intentional. E.g. I don't know if there's a rule about only on side is allowed a joker bonus.
But since both players and NPC's gets joker dmg. bonus, I'm assuming both should be awarded bennies as well.

4. Quick redraw joker
Here's you see the player has drawn a joker, through a redraw triggered by the quick edge.
As you can see this results in a joker of clubs, no benny, but joker dmg. bonus.

This one took a while to trigger, ngl. I hereby decree that a nice cold beer is RL benny, and I'll go award myself one :)
