What are the specifications for Skybox images?
The default ones are all in the vault so resolution and any other properties can't be interrogated, since I want to make myself some custom ones, what do I need to know?
Perhaps this article could be updated:

The ones that are provided built-in are 2800x1400 .webp files. I've asked Carl and JW to chime in with anything else relevant to building skyboxes.

I am currently making a guide that could be used to make custom images, more than the resolution is where the horizon line is, and such to properly align your image to what is expected in FG

Thanks guys. Yea, I didn't know if they have to be some sort of tileable image or such (i.e. left and right sides connect, top row of pixels condensing to a point, etc). Appreciate the details when you get them written up :)

I looked for recommendations as well but didn't see any yet. The static ones I did are mostly 4000x2000 or 2kx1k. I did 2kx1k for the animations. Looking forward to some how-to and guidelines as well! :-) I can make a how-to video for Blender render->Shutter Encoder->FGU too once I know more. In Blender, its easiest to use the cycles render engine and the center of your view in FGU is off to the left of your camera.

I just updated Developer Guide - Product Guidelines with the new Skybox guidelines:

Also, the Working with Images as the GM page now has an additional Skybox (Panoramic Sky) Guide and Template section with WEBP and Photoshop PSD template files to download and use, as well as some notes on what each section of the template means. Pixel resolutions, recommended sizes and formats have been added to both pages.

Additionally, the Adding Lights to Maps and Tokens page now has a quick little Add a Skybox (Panoramic Sky) Image to a Map simply showing how to do exactly that.

I can make a how-to video for Blender render->Shutter Encoder->FGU too once I know more.
If you do, please let me know and I can add it to the wiki as well.
