Is there an automated way to have power points debited on the character sheet when powers are activated and modifiers attached? There used to be a Forge extension that did this but it does not seem to work any longer...

Currently there is not.

I was unaware of any extension ever exisiting for automated power point usage as there are too many variables to automate it...

Selective logically you would turn this on is a template covers allies, but I have it not be used as they know the targeted PC can tank the damage (unless very unlucky on the damage roll)

Every single power has modifiers that can be used and then nearly every setting out there adds more powers and sometimes modifies the exisiting powers that would break any ruleset automation.

The usual reason why something is not automated in Savage Worlds ruleset when there are too many variables too code it, and Powers is the biggest example of this!

It was one of Chillem's extensions. I posted screen shots of it before. You double clicked on the cast die on the powers tab and it brought up a pop out box that had modifiers to select from and a cast or abort button. The original points plus the modifier points were then debited from the power point counter. It was great. It was the same one that had tests and a few other quality of life fixes before they were integrated into the rule set.

I remember that, it was part of 4C - but a kinda hidden feature. Not sure it would work with the update Powers stuff, but maybe.

4C is unlisted but I still have an old copy of it - I think that feature was the "Hotdropper"
