View Full Version : Any way to keep Player Token Fog of War from resetting?

Using 5e Ruleset but curious about any options to maintain player token Fog of war?

My players lose the "unlocked" sections of their maps if I move their tokens to a different map, or elsewhere on the same map from the CT.

Our druid loses it every time he shifts into a wild shape form through the Twohy extension, but it seems like it's the same issue of resetting the token causing the problem.

Is there no way to tie the revealed sections of the LOS to a token or character long term?

Hi,

I've had good results using this extension:

I hope this is useful.

Cheers,

If you move a token on the same map as DM then hold SHIFT whilst you do so and it will retain any fog of war. Any other type of movement which causes the token to leave the map (including removing and replacing from the CT - which is probably what's happening with the extension you mention) and the FoW will be lost. The FoW isn't retained in any way if the token leaves the map entirely.

Ah, that's a shame. I assume the link still works for me as i own it?
