This is a small extension which implements some common house rules for:
- "failing forward" (if you just miss a skill roll)
- "succeeding with style" (if you crit or beat a DC by 5).

It will suggest a possible outcome (pulled from a table you can change as desired).

This extension is designed to work with the wonderful Requested Rolls (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/273/view) extension (which allows the DM to provide a DC). If the DC is not set (which is normally the case), this extension won't do anything.

Available (free) in the Forge: https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1982/view

How to use: select the "Feature: Fail Forward" extension when loading your campaign.

There are two (Homebrew) options to enable/disable the extension, and to control the "fail-by" threshold.

So was there a table supposed to be bundled with this extension or do I have to create this table myself? I tested the extension with a Persuasion check and read [ERROR] Unable to find table. (Skill Fail Forward)

There is a table, included as a mod (FailFoward.mod). You do need to activate the mod, and load the table (once).

I think the previous build might not have included the table; I uploaded a new build with the mod. Please let me know if it's still an issue, thanks!
