Are there any extensions that support using toolkits for 5E?

Can you expand on what you mean by using toolkits? Are you talking about something like Alchemist's Supplies and the like? If so then you don't really need an extension to use these. Any rolls that you need to make are just ability checks like any other skill. If you are proficient you get to add your proficiency bonus and if already proficient in a skill that uses the tool you get advantage on the roll.

You can add tools to the skills tab on the character sheet to make rolling these checks easier if you want.

Right. 5E 2024 has lots of stuff for using toolkits, like which Ability is used, and actions like Utilize and Craft.

Yes, I could manually add support for all of these - but I was hoping someone had already done it. If not, I'll probably try to create an extension to do it. I'm currently working on an Achievements extension though, so it may be a while.

Thanks!

You could probably get away with just making a mod with spells setup (like Rob2E's old stuff) with the particular adjustments needed for Toolkits instead of make an extension that will require you track for updates.

That sounds promising. Can you point me to an example, or maybe describe what you mean?

Could the Toolkits show up on the Character Sheet Actions tab?

Here is a link to one of the effects packages he and his team made for 5E 2014 adventuring gear. Not sure if it has been updated for the specifics of 2024.

There are other packages for all of the magic types and such.

Basically he created a spell for each effect that has the automation in it. The player can then drag that spell to the Actions tab to automate special abilities of those items.

Oh I see, thank you! I'll try that approach.
