I didn't realize y'all were pushing through a major update out of band. I had just added something via the Forge, hit update, and was greeted with the dread everyone must update screen. Now I have a game window that canot be resized. it's either a useless 35% of my screen or full screen. Was this intentional? There are no handles available to resize the game window anywhere, fully updated Win11.

You can still resize the window it's just that the handle is very small and you no longer see any icon change. Position your cursor just a pixel off the side of the window and click, hold, and drag. There is currently a bug in the Unity engine which has been known and reported some time ago but Unity haven't got around to fixing it yet.

Gee, that gives me confidence in the rest of the updated engine! Thanks for letting me know. Maybe that should be at the top of the patch notes, or a warning when you log on. I can't be the only one who had a heart attack after the update!

It has been reported to Unity company; and the issue tracker says that it is "Under Consideration" for a fix currently.

Unfortunately, the big security update to fix an execution vulnerability that Unity was in the news for also included this regression. We're hoping that they fix soon; and I'm checking every couple days. However, there is no direct line to the Unity engineers to get any more information.

You aren't, it was reported on Discord and Moon Wizard stepped in with the explanation.

Edit: and here he is again :)

Another way to resize, right click the title bar of the window and click Size then use your arrow keys.
That will allow you to resize it though hopefully it gets fixed.

Thank for telling us about this. When you have a 4K screen, trying to hit 1 pixel off the window is an awfully small target.

Yeah, that's what I'm working with too; which is why I'm monitoring the Unity releases closely for this fix.

I am unable to change the window size other than maximize, minimize. I had to use the window menu in the top left of the title bar and then use resize. This allowed me to resize the window across monitors.

In my windows, it's actually a small area right outside the Windows standard window edge graphic.

As I mentioned above, I'm monitoring the Unity feeds to get that pushed with a hot fix as soon as Unity fixes.

If I move the mouse pointer towards the FG right or bottom window border (or bottom right corner) from outside, when it changes from generic windows arrow to FG arrow is when I can click and drag to resize.

Hope this helps.

Minor hot fix today using a work around to help with Windows resize arrows. Still not 100%, but better until Unity fixes their engine.

Can confirm that it is much easier to resize after this hotfix.
