Good day Devs,

I have a couple of questions..

1) Map Sharing to players.
In FGU when a map is in small size its sharable, BUT as soon as you take it up a size or more, you can no longer click to share it.. Why is this? Am I missing something or is this intended because its a MAJOR pain in the butt..

2) Unmasking
I love using the mask and using it to create effects (like river flows and laval flows, fog, etc) but why are we stuck to only being able to use a "box" to unmask areas? Why dont we have a free draw tool or something similar to a set of wall tools? It would make drawing or creating effects much easier and less "blocky"

I know these arent huge issues, but hey, if I dont mention them who else will?

Kaz

1 You can share images of any window size. Use the icon on the window menu bar. See #10 here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996640166/Working+with+Images+as+the+GM#Image-Windows-and-Icons

2 You can use a freehand reveal using the ALT key. See here: Working with Images as the GM - Fantasy Grounds Customer Portal - Fantasy Grounds (https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996640166/Working+with+Images+as+the+GM#Reveal-Area)

For the Map Share, does that only toggle on the share or actually SEND it to the players? I should of been more clear that its more about sending it to the players, not just making it available.

In our case we use FGU for a Digital table, so sharing it is to share a map for the players around the table to the TV. We run 2 instances of FGU, 1 DM and 1 Player

It send it to the players, causing the image to open in a window on all players desktop. If they are not connected when shared, it will send/load it into the cache when they join but will not open the image window. They will have topen it from the images list.
You can test all this by observing it on your second instance. Very useful for all sort of things like character ownership, targeting, sharing, player vision, etc.
