In running Abomination Vaults in FG, the party's barbarian has taken the Blessed One dedication at level 2.
Now at level 6, FG is showing his Caster Level as 4.
Is this correct? If not, then what is the proper Caster Level for the character.
Thank you.

There's no automation currently for that feat, therefore the player (or GM) probably created the Focus Spell class in the actions tab when the PC was at level 2, but didn't change the CL entry to 2. Every time the PC levels up 1 will be added to the CL field - as it started at 0, the 6th level PC now shows 4. Change this to 6 to represent the current character level and it should track correctly with future level ups.

Thanks. I do enjoy clear answers. :)

Is there a reason for the lack of automation?
As far as I am aware it is not possible to have a caster level different than your character level in 2e - someone could let me know if they know of an exception, but it seems like having all spell classes default to that unless changed would make sense?

To support users who do different things than standard with the spell classes. As the auto increase of caster level came in after the original release of the ruleset I didn't want to break stuff people may have already coded.
And, if the spell classes are setup correctly to start with the automation will keep them at the correct level. So it's not a case of any "lack of automation".

You know, somehow I completely missed the bit where you said 1 is added automatically each level up no matter what, which is... literally what I was suggesting, like a silly person who can't read. :P Sorry for that!

No worries. :D
It did get me thinking... and I might auto populate the CL field when a new spell class is created with the character level as a starting point for normal CL/Character Level matching and progression.

Alternatively, I wonder if it would be worth having just a "match CL to character level" checkbox that defaults to on and greys out the editability of the field?
