Seeking playtesters for the Akhyrian Hex, an original RPG. The sessions will be played on Fantasy Grounds, using Discord for Voice and Chat.
Sessions will be weeknights, perhaps weekends, always evenings, 3 hours maximum per weekly session. I would like to organize a couple of playtest groups, two or three nights a week.
You can help the design process with clever ideas, interesting plot twists, and innovative character designs!
The theme is "serio-tragic," a bit grim in tone, although whimsical inclusions are welcome. The idea is to have fun, despite the dystopian environment of the campaign.
The world of Tarsithra is preparing for its doom. The sun El is predicted to swell into the red giant phase and destroy the planet that it has long been provider as the source of life. Once the creator and preserver of life, it now becomes the Destroyer. Yet, the populace believes in salvation from the heavens, and a chosen few will be lifted into the heavens into a new life hereafter. Player characters are descendants of the Sky Fallen, mystical beings who came to the planet Tarsithra as teachers, guardians, oppressors, tyrants, and saviors. There are eight to choose from and each will have unique supernatural abilities. The playtesting will take place in an arid region known as Akhyria.
